Resurfacing FAQs
Step 1 - Remove existing coatings or damaged surfaces
We chip away all cracked, weak and damaged areas of the existing surface. We remove any old paint and joint fillers.

Step 2 - Power-wash the existing surface
Years of dirt, moss and foreign substances are blasted away.

Step 3 - Elevation Alterations
If necessary to achieve drainage or consistancy of surface, we'll grind or fill areas of the deck.

Step 4 - Base Coat is Applied
We now apply a brand new cement base to the surface. We use a cement coating manufactured by Sundek®, it's time tested and used by Sundek Seattle for 25 years.

Step 5 - Texture Coat is Applied
You have a wide variety of choices when it comes to the look of the new cement texture which is shot from a hopper gun and toweled down for a unique look.

Step 6 - Finish Coat Applied
After the new cement surface has cured, we apply a specially formulated Sundek Finish Coat in the color and design of your choice. The final coat is sealed with a highly durable clear sealant and your job is complete.

The typical job takes 4 to 5 dry days.
